Some ladies waiting to be auditioned

The 2011 edition of TV3’s long running pageant, Ghana’s Most Beautiful, started on good note yesterday with an audition at the Executive Theatre at the GAMA films in Accra.

Hundreds of beautiful ladies and wannabe stars from various parts of the country trooped to the venue to partake in the 3-day audition.

Ghana’s Most Beautiful reality show remains one of TV3’s unique programmes that always keep viewers glued to their TV sets.

It was initiated by TV3 in 2007 as a beauty pageant with a unique cultural attachment. It is an entertainment program which is both informative and educative.

The concept was derived in a bid to project the beauty of the Ghanaian woman instead of following the Western beauty. Over the past few years, the reality show managed to produce stars.

As usual, ten beautiful ladies will be selected, with each representing a region in Ghana.

The selected 10 women are allowed to research on their regions to inform the general public in a live weekly presentation. Contestants with the least votes are evicted weekly.
